The Cow in Apple Time won the Fall 2005 Mom's Choice Award as the best entry in the category of Children's PIcture Book -- Humorous. The judges of the Fall 2005 Mom's Choice Awards include Twila C. Liggett, Ph.D., Creator/Executive Producer, PBS' Reading Rainbow; and Julie Aigner-Clark, Creator of Baby Einstein.

The Cow in Apple Time was selected as one of the twelve best new children's books published in the United States in Fall 2005 by Scholastic Parent & Child magazine (See "What Teachers Love for Fun and Education: Best New Books," in the September 2005 issue, p. 20.)
